Brilliantly lead, allowing for informed non-judgemental discussions and proactive and dynamic exercises. Thoroughly enjoyable and I think it will be very easy to jump straight into the Mental Health First Aider Role

Very good overview of mental health issues. Great levels of interaction and positive environment.

A great instructor who made the course very enjoyable and difficult subject matter approachable. No improvement points from me. I thought it was fab.

Very professional, clear, informative and approachable. Difficult subject matter made very palatable and interesting. Thank you.

The course has been extremely interesting ... going forward, I will be able to recognise someone who needs help and using the information from today's course I will be able to comfortably help and advise.

Attending the course has been a very positive experience ... the trainer was great - ensured that participants were always feeling safe, creating the best possible learning environment where we felt able to share. Thank you!

It was a fantastic course. Very Interesting. I really liked how varied the training was / learning styles used. I just feel as there was so much content an extra half day would have been good. Fantastic course. I would highly recommend.

I've learnt a lot about mental health including a lot which I hadn't previously realised. It's also given / shown me ways to be able to deal with my own stresses / anxieties. Wonderful / informative course, led by a great mentor.

I fully recommend Fiona, her approach to educating people on the complex subject of mental health and her innovative training style has been truly superb.

I felt the course was very well run and was conducted in such a way that nobody was ever made to feel uncomfortable. Provisions were made at all times to allow participants to excuse themselves without judgement.

I thought the course was fantastic, really interesting and well explained throughout.

Good delivery from the Work Wellness trainer who was aware of the group dynamic & dealt with us all in a professional, friendly and gentle nature.

The course was very informative. The Work Wellness facilitator was very good and knowledgeable.

A well structured training day. Very clear and interactive. Very well delivered.

Emotionally difficult course, but enjoyable and thoroughly rewarding. Tutor support amazing. Thank you!

Inclusive and interactive. Enjoyable. Feel confident in what I learnt + will be be able to help if anyone needs it at the workplace. The Work Wellness trainer was fantastic 🙂

4. Mental Health Training: Safeguarding
Attendees find it helpful for themselves and useful to the group to share personal experiences and they may find that some subjects trigger upsetting thoughts and memories. Our support for attendees is paramount:
- It’s one of the reasons why we limit group sizes and why we only deliver these courses when physically present with attendees (the other reason is to maximise the quality and effectiveness of the learning experience).
- We emphasise and remind attendees that:
- They can “opt out”; they don’t need to say or do anything which makes them feel uncomfortable or compromised.
- They can “step out”; they can leave a session for a short while or until the instructor has been able to provide them with support during a break or after the session.
- All contributions are respected.
- Personal information is shared in confidence and remains within the sessions.
- Whilst the subject matter is serious, our instructor will encourage everyone to enjoy the learning experience.
